What Are You Falling Behind On?
Being a work-from-home toddler mom, most days, it feels like walking a tightrope in a hurricane. You’re answering emails while wiping spilled orange juice off the kitchen floor, trying to mentally shift gears from a professional work meeting to building Magna-Tile towers. And then, beyond the walls of your office/living room, the invisible checklist expands. You’re supposed to maintain a clean home, or at least one that doesn’t look like a toy store exploded. You’re supposed to show up for your family and friends, remembering birthdays, replying to texts before they sit for three days, and being emotionally present for the people you love. On top of all that, you’re bombarded by the weight of world issues, feeling like a bad citizen if you aren't deeply informed, yet feeling entirely drained by the sheer volume of global heartbreak.
We are killing ourselves trying to get it all "right".
So let’s pause for a second and take a collective, heavy breath. What is putting the most pressure on you right now? Is it the guilt of not giving your best to your work or your child? Is it the laundry piling up, the unread text messages from people you adore, or just the mental fatigue of trying to care about everything all at once? And more importantly: what are you falling behind on?
Because let’s be honest. Something is falling behind. For me, some days it's the kitchen counters, and other days it's my inbox. Let’s talk about it. What feels heaviest for you today?
